Why?
I am Spencer Hooper, aka Blind Hughes Hooper aka Hoop aka Spencey-Who.
I started making music around age 13. I was classically trained from ages 5-9 until I decided to quit because I hated it. Luckily my mom reccomended that I take a Blues improv class at Depaul Unversity’s Music School located in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL Upon taking this class I fell in love with musical creation and improvisation.
My Music Skills improved slowly, but it wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school at Saint Ignatius College Prep that I developed my friendship with a few musical kids that would eventually become foundng members of Mangoland. Click here. Our musical creativity grew.
